Piotr Dzigowski, MD

Piotr Dzigowski, MD - a specialist urologist, he is certified in Clinical Andrology and is a member of the Polish Urological Association and the Polish Society of Andrology. A native of Cracow, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, Cracow, in 1997. He did his postgraduate training at the L. Rydygier Regional Specialist Hospital in Cracow. After his internship, he worked as a doctor in the Accident and Emergency Resuscitation Team of the Proszowice Ambulance Service. There, he was employed as an assistant in the Department of General and Paediatric Surgery, where he gained surgical experience in general, trauma and vascular surgery in both adults and children. He began his specialisation in Urology at the Department of Urology of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow and since 2006, after moving to Warsaw, he has continued at the Department of General Oncological and Functional Urology of the MUW in Warsaw. 
 
During his specialisation training, he attended courses and internships in leading clinical centres in Poland and abroad, which allowed him to gain extensive experience in the surgical treatment of urological diseases, both in classical and endoscopic methods, including laparoscopy. He completed his specialisation in 2010, obtaining the title of specialist urologist in Poland and the prestigious European title of FEBU “Fellow of European Board of Urology”. After completing his specialisation, he worked as a senior assistant in the Department of Urology at MUW in Warsaw until 2015, where, as one of the most experienced operators, he was involved in both the treatment of patients and the training of urology residents. He is passionate about operative urology, particularly reconstructive and plastic surgery of the urinary and genital tract. During this time, he became interested in the problem of surgical treatment of azoospermia. An interest in andrology was the next stage of specialisation development. Following the guidelines of the Polish Society of Andrology, he underwent a series of training courses and was certified as a Clinical Andrologist in 2017. Currently, in addition to treating urological diseases, Dr Dzigowski is involved in a wide area of andrology, the treatment of male infertility, with a particular focus on surgical, laparoscopic and classical, methods of treating fertility disorders. 
 
Since 2013, he has been a consultant urologist at Medicover Hospital, where he works closely with the Department of Surgery, where, thanks to a modern and well-functioning operating theatre, he can work as an operator using the experience he has gained.
