A number of diseases, including those asymptomatic, may have a negative impact on fertility, the course of pregnancy and the health of the baby. Therefore, you should undergo the basic laboratory tests to check the parameters of blood and urine several months before pregnancy.
The tests and examinations covered by the “I will be a Mum” package will make it possible for you to check the general condition of your body, allow for early detection of vitamin deficiencies, elimination of infections as well as detection of such diseases as anaemia and diabetes.

The “I will be a Mum” package of diagnostic tests and examinations can be used in Medicover Centres in the following cities: Warszawa, Wrocław, Kraków, Katowice Poznań, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Szczecin, Lublin, and Łódź.
Validity period of the package: 3 months from the date indicated in the order confirmation

- You will make sure whether or not you are at risk of developing such diseases as anaemia and diabetes
- You will avoid the costs and time you would otherwise have to spend on a medical appointment prior to tests and examinations.
- You will get a 10% discount on a consultation with a gynaecologist
- You will receive a 10% discount on preventive vaccinations against:
- Rubella (German measles) – because it leads to a high risk of severe developmental damage and defects in the foetus, e.g. hearing and sight disorders, heart defects, speech development problems, intellectual impairment or bone deformation.
- Chickenpox – because it increases the risk of miscarriage and premature childbirth, as well as may lead to the birth of a baby with scarred skin, limb deformation, visual impairment or disorders of the central nervous system.
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis – paroxysmal cough and vomiting during pertussis may lead to convulsions and apnoea, which - in turn - can result in cerebral (brain) hypoxia.
- Flu – which may lead to miscarriage or premature birth, as well as reduce the birth weight of the baby, which is associated with the risk of neurological and intellectual disorders, small stature and endocrine disturbances.
- Viral hepatitis B – infection with the virus during pregnancy may be transferred onto the baby during its foetal life or in labour. Infection with the virus can lead to cirrhosis and cancer of the liver.
