A paediatric cardiologist carries out consultations for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases (e.g. birth defects, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension).

A paediatric cardiologist treats conditions such as:

• cardiac arrhythmias;
• heart defects;
• heart failure;
• cardiomyopathy;
• hypertension;
• syncope.

During the consultation, the doctor:

takes a medical history and performs a physical examination; makes a diagnosis; gives medical recommendations; prescribes medications; issues referrals for tests, examinations, consultations and hospitalisation; issues sick leave. During the visit, the doctor can also measure blood pressure.

Important information

The paediatric cardiologist consults children up to the age of 18. The consultation lasts 15 minutes. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. The service can only be provided at the medical facility indicated at the time of purchase.

Paediatric cardiologist - telemedical consultation

A paediatric cardiologist specialises in the diagnosis, differentiation, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases (affecting the heart and blood vessels) in the youngest patients: from newborns to children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

During a telemedical consultation, the doctor:

takes a medical history and performs a physical examination; makes a diagnosis; gives medical recommendations; prescribes medications; issues referrals for tests, examinations, consultations and hospitalisation; issues sick leave.

During a telemedical consultation, the doctor will provide any services that may be carried out remotely. However, when taking a medical history, the doctor may decide that an on-site consultation is necessary to make a definitive diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment.
