Ophthalmology – selection of progressive glasses

An eye examination designed for people who want to see comfortably at all distances – near, intermediate and far – with a single pair of progressive glasses.

The examination is performed by an experienced optometrist specialising in the precise prescription of optical election of optical corrections, including progressive lenses, taking into account the individual visual needs and lifestyle of the patient.

The examination includes:

• refraction measurement using an autorefractometer,

• distance and near vision acuity testing
• vision correction specifically for progressive glasses (distance, intermediate and reading vision),
• binocular spatial vision assessment.

During the visit:

• a detailed optometric interview is conducted,
• the way the patient uses their eyesight is analysed (working at a computer, reading, driving, using a smartphone),
• the optometrist provides detailed information about the strengths and type of recommended progressive lenses,
• the patient receives individual recommendations regarding visual comfort and eye hygiene.
