- conducts an otolaryngological interview and examination, including a laryngeal examination
- provides medical diagnosis
- gives medical recommendations
- prescribes medications
- issues referrals for tests, consultations, and hospitalizations.
During the appointment, the doctor can perform ear irrigation, remove stitches, and apply ear dressings.
Pediatric otolaryngologists consult children up to the age of 16.
