Jakub Krukowski, MD, PhD

Jakub Krukowski, MD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Gdańsk. He began specialising in urology in 2013 at the Department of Urology of the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk. 
 
During his Specialization programme, the doctor took numerous training courses to improve his professional skills. These included both the improvement of the physician's skills, necessary for outpatient work (ultrasound diagnosis of the urogenital system, training in urodynamics), and the mastery of new surgical techniques. 
 
Jakub Krukowski, MD, is one of the few urologists in Poland who performs sonouretrography - an ultrasound evaluation of the urethra. 
 
In 2018, he completed an internship at the Servicio de Urología de Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in Madrid, where under the supervision of Professor Enrique Lledo Garcia, one of Europe's most experienced urologists in reconstructive urology, he gained expertise in the surgical treatment of urethral strictures and stress urinary incontinence as well as erectile dysfunction in patients previously treated for pelvic disorders, including prostate cancer. 
 
In June 2020, the doctor passed the European Specialization exam, earning a specialist degree in urology and the prestigious title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). 
 
Since 2015, dr Jakub Krukowski has been an active member of the Polish Urological Society and the European Association of Urology (EAU). He is the main author and co-author of 10 articles published in journals indexed in major scientific databases and more than 20 scientific reports presented at regional, national and international conventions. Two of his papers have been included in the European Association of Urology guidelines, some of the most important sources informing about the latest standards for diagnosis and treatment of urological patients.
