Internist - home visit

A home visit by an internist is intended for adults over the age of 18 who require medical advice within the scope of primary healthcare.

What does the visit include?

• Examination and diagnosis
• Issuing or renewing a prescription
• Issuing a ZUS ZLA sick note
• Providing guidance on further steps or the need for a specialist consultation

Standard visit duration: up to 35 minutes. Before starting the consultation, the doctor will ask to see a photo ID confirming the patient’s identity.

The home visits of an internist are available:

• within the administrative boundaries of Warsaw,
• from Tuesday to Friday between 8:30 and 18:30 (excluding public holidays).

During the visit, no samples are collected for testing, no swab test are made and no injections or IV drips are administered.

Due to traffic conditions, the doctor may arrive up to 20 minutes before or after the selected time slot. Upon arrival, they will wait a maximum of 15 minutes to carry out the visit. If this is not possible within that time, the visit will be considered completed.

How to book a visit

1. Choose a time slot:
   • 8:30–10:30
   • 10:30–12:30
   • 12:30–14:30
   • 14:30–16:30
   • 16:30–18:30
2. Make sure to pay for the service at least one hour before the start of your selected time slot (e.g. by 7:30 for a visit between 8:30 and 10:30).
3. Call us on +48 500 900 999 – a consultant will confirm your payment, and a dispatcher will conduct a preliminary medical interview.

How to prepare for the visit

• Ensure there is a quiet, well-lit room where the doctor can comfortably carry out the examination and complete the necessary documentation.
• Prepare any test results, a list of current medications, and other relevant medical documents.
• Make a list of questions or symptoms you wish to discuss – this will help make the most of the consultation time.
• Have a photo ID ready – the doctor has the right to check it.

Cancelling a visit

If you need to cancel the visit, do so by calling +48 500 900 999.

Cancellations must be made at least 60 minutes before the start of the selected time slot. For example, a visit scheduled between 10:30 and 12:30 needs to be cancelled by 9:30 at the latest. If you cancel later than that, the cancellation will not be valid – consequently, you will not be entitled to a refund. After this point, the visit will be considered completed.

A home visit is not suitable in situations that pose a threat to health or life. In such emergencies, call 999 or 112 immediately.
