The examination is performed in adults and children aged 5 and older.
The examination only takes a few minutes. Its main advantage is the ability to see hard-to-reach areas because the device adapts to the examined surface. This makes it faster, easier and more accurate to diagnose lesions if present.
In addition, the examination may be performed in the presence of mucosal oedema and hypertrophy. It usually does not require anaesthesia.
Local anaesthesia in a spray can be used to eliminate discomfort.
Be sure to have your current medical records with you (if available).
Because of possible gag reflexes, it is recommended that adults do not eat and drink for 2 hours before the examination.
Children must not eat or drink for at least 1 hour before the examination.
A doctor's referral is required to perform the examination.
