Waking electroencephalography (EEG) for adults
The examination involves registering the changes in the electrical potential on the surface of the scalp, coming from the activity of neurons of the cerebral cortex. The examination is performed with the patient in a horizontal position, wearing a special cap with registering electrodes.

- in assessing the condition of brain, e.g. after poisoning with neurotoxic substances, after neurosurgical operations;
- after head injuries;
- in frequent headaches.
The service above concerns waking electroencephalography (EEG). If you wish to schedule a sleep examination, choose the service: “Sleep electroencephalography (EEG)".

- If the patient has to undergo sleep electroencephalography (EEG) and waking electroencephalography (EEG), it is necessary to schedule the examinations for two separate days due to different preparation procedures.
