Hand surgeon - basic information
Hand surgeon deals with the diagnostics and comprehensive
treatment of injuries and diseases of the entire upper limb:
shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand (palm).
The surgical treatment includes arthroscopic procedures,
fracture stabilization, as well as tendons and nerves
reconstruction. The most common diseases of the hand include carpal
tunnel syndrome (CTS), wrist tendonitis (also called gamer’s thumb
or mother’s wrist or Dr. Quervain's tenosynovitis) or Dupuytren's
contracture (Dupuytren's disease).
